Spoon Handle Flowers
A collection of teaspoons have inspired these ceramic flowers. By sprig moulding the decorative handle of a spoon to form detailed petals, I create layers to resemble a flower. The vaguest familiarity of a teaspoon is altered in such a way that it no longer appears in context. I wish to provoke interest and beauty in an everyday object which previously may have gone unnoticed.
