Argument for why it is useful to create your own content.
It give the opportunity for you to create change within your classroom.
Trust: This is built very early on. Your students trust you. Your students can see that you have taken the time out to produce this for them.
Accountability: teachers are accountable for the content. We know what is included and can add, edit or change the content. Accountable for parents and other teachers.
Facial cues, eye contact, gesturing: Although youtube etc may have these things, because our videos contain trust and knowing between students and teachers these points contain more meaning and are more engaging. Like them having a front row seat in the classroom.
Personalisation: We know what language students will understand and we know what terms are correct for what they are learning.
Teacher Empowerment: The teacher publishes the information. They can change what they are doing within the lesson. This allows me to be effective within my classroom.
